emotional involvement

The truth is always antithetical. 

The truth is often unimaginable. 

For it runs so contrary to societal norms that one must change how he views his very own self before he can accept it. 

When there is an emotional investment, there are problems. 

Whatever or whomever you care about brings enormous suffering. 

Humans enjoy platitudes because they sound musical and harmonious. 

But the truth is a whisper

Rather than a song. 

If you do not care

You have no problems. 

If you do not care

You are not shunned.

If you do not care

You not imprisoned. 

If you do not care

You have no disappointments. 

If you do not care 

Your life is freedom. 

Not caring isn't to have a heart of stone. 

It is to have a heart that acts without need. 

And beats without hope. 

What needs doing 

It does. 

What does not need doing

It does not do. 

But emotional involvement is avoided,

Making all actions sound and true. 

Emotional involvement is the one way road to hell. 

No ‘good’ comes of it. 

It hallows the inside of man

And turns him into a shell of a human. 

Understand that the evil that is done in this world

Is done by those who care the most. 

I will not tell you to stop caring.

For rules and methods are useless. 

I will not tell you to do anything at all. 

I state the Truth as it is. 

The one who has the ears for it

Will hear my words. 

Whether he does or not 

Makes little difference to me. 

For my path to freedom

Is to not have a care 

In the world.

So that I may live a life 

As free as the day began.
