the end of intellectualization

What lies past of thought and intellectualization?

To feel for everything and everyone

Without the exclusion of others?

To see everything fresh and anew

Without the intermediary of knowledge?

A Sensibility DNA.

A DNA that is a natural byproduct of awareness.

A sensibility that arises without any concept of it arising.

Man has had glimpses of this…

Removing a stone from the side of the road

Because he knew it would help a fellow traveler. 

Picking up trash on a hike

Because he knew it would help

Someone or some thing.

Sending funds anonymously to those in need

Because he knew it would help

Their current situation.

And how does this sensibility come about?

I do not know.

But there are barriers…

That harden man and his sensibilities. 

Barriers that cause him to live with

A closed heart rather than a hurt one.

And those two things lie deep in the depths of his psyche.

Beliefs and attachments. 

A man who resorts to belief

Has lost touched with reality.

Perhaps not in a clinical sense…

But such man swims in a sea of

Likes and dislikes

Conclusions and evaluations

Prejudices and judgements.

What of attachment?

Man X relates to Man Y.

Man X has a preformed image of Man Y.

Man Y becomes enslaved to the image created by Man X. 

Should such image cease to exist

Or not be upheld or validated.

Man Y would not be complete. 

Therein lies attachment. 

Such men become

Enslaved to the relationship. 

And such relationship

Continues to be built

Upon a storehouse of need.

And a relationship

Not sensitive to want to

Understand the Truth in all things

Is a sensitivity that will be packaged

Into a tin can and tied up

Behind the bumper of a car.
